Each gummy is formulated keeping in mind the health concern to be addressed, and the active ingredients (vitamins, minerals, botanical extracts, micronutrients, collagen, antioxidants, probiotics) are carefully selected. Lab samples are created, and the flavour and texture are refined by masking the bitter ingredients, changing the combination of ingredients and/or flavours. A stability study is conducted to ensure that we make a shelf-stable formulation and one that has the desired potency. The final product needs to taste great and be effective as well.
The heart of a gummy is its ingredients. We make 100% plant-based gummies, and pectin and FOS form the base of the gummies. We source all our ingredients – gelling agents, flavours, colours, sweeteners, actives from certified manufacturers and make sure that each batch of ingredient comes with test reports and COAs. We have transparent sourcing practices, and we can trace back the ingredients to their respective lot and manufacturers.
The manufacturing process of gummies begins with mixing all the ingredients (actives, gelling agents, sweeteners) and heating them to form a syrup. The syrup is then poured in gummy moulds of different shapes (bears, discs, drops or custom designs). The gummies are then allowed to cool and solidify, followed by demoulding. Gummies are then coated with oil, sugar, or natural anti-caking agents to prevent them from sticking to each other. These gummies are then individually packed in small plastic pillow pouches if needed. The gummies are then bottled in packs of 30, 60, 90, or 120 gummies, depending on the customer’s requirement.
Every gummy we manufacture undergoes a strict quality control process to meet food safety and regulatory requirements. The gummies are checked for taste, efficacy, stability, and uniformity, and a certificate of analysis is provided with every lot.
